Privacy Policy

This policy explains which personal data we collect through be-better.ba, why, how long we keep it and what your rights are. We process personal data in accordance with the Law on Personal Data Protection of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Official Gazette of BiH No. 12/25) and, for visitors from the European Union, with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where it applies.

a) When you send us a message through the “Contact us” form or through our guide Bea:

• your name and email address,
• the area or topic of your enquiry and the content of your message,
• confirmation that you gave your consent,
• the language and page from which the message was sent and the time of sending.

Please do not include health data, religious or political beliefs or other special categories of personal data in your message unless this is necessary for your enquiry.

b) Abuse prevention. We do not store your IP address. To prevent mass messaging (no more than 8 messages in 10 minutes from the same address), we temporarily keep only a one-way cryptographic hash of it, which is deleted automatically within 24 hours at the latest.

c) Server logs. Like any web server, our hosting provider’s server may record standard technical access data (IP address, time of access, requested page, browser type) solely for security and proper operation.

3. Purpose and legal basis

• Responding to your enquiry and related communication, including preparing a quote at your request. Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking the box before sending, and taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.
• Website security and protection against unwanted messages. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating the website securely.

We do not use your data for marketing, newsletters or advertising messages.

4. Cookies, analytics and external services

• This website does not use cookies, analytics or visitor tracking tools.
• Fonts and videos are loaded from our own server, without connecting to Google or other third parties.
• Our guide Bea works with pre-written answers. It does not use artificial intelligence, does not make automated decisions and does not create profiles. It stores only a marker in your browser that the welcome message has already been shown; this marker contains no personal data and is deleted when you close the tab.
• The link to our LinkedIn page leads to an external website only when you click it; LinkedIn’s privacy rules then apply.

5. Who has access to your data

We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Only authorised staff of Be Better d.o.o. have access. Our web hosting and email provider, whose server hosts the website and our mailbox, processes the data technically, solely on our instructions and for the purpose of providing that service. We disclose data to public authorities only where required by law.

6. How long we keep data

• Messages received through the website are deleted automatically from the website system after 12 months.
• Email correspondence is kept while communication about your enquiry is ongoing and for no more than 12 months after the last contact. If the enquiry leads to a business relationship, we keep data as required by the contract and applicable law.
• Abuse-prevention hash: no more than 24 hours.

7. Security

The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Messages are stored outside the publicly accessible part of the server, and notifications of new messages are sent over a secured, authenticated connection to our mail server.

8. Your rights

At any time you may request:

• access to your data and a copy of it,
• correction of inaccurate data,
• erasure of your data,
• restriction of processing,
• data portability,
• that we stop processing based on our legitimate interest (objection).

You may withdraw your consent at any time without giving reasons. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Send your request to info@be-better.ba. We will reply without undue delay and within one month at the latest.

If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Visitors from the European Union may also contact the supervisory authority in their country.

9. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the way the website works or the law changes. The current version is always published on this page with the date of the last update.
